Dr. Harrington graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brown University with a B.A. in Cognitive Science. She earned her medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and completed her internal medicine residency program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Harrington worked at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for 16 years where she was a Harvard University Instructor educating and mentoring medical students in primary care medicine. She passionately worked to help improve the delivery of high-quality healthcare by sitting on the Affiliated Physicians Group (APG) Provider Advisory Board and on the Clinical IT Leadership Committee, where she played a pivotal role in implementing a new electronic medical record for APG.

After spending three years working to establish a new primary care practice at Atrius Health, Dr. Harrington joined the Newton Wellesley Hospital team in 2019 where she remains a committed member of the Department of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Harrington’s clinical interests include preventive medicine, women’s health and the long-term care of cancer survivors. Additionally, she is certified in Lifestyle Medicine which encompasses the use of evidence-based approaches such as diet, exercise, sleep, and stress reduction to prevent, treat, and reverse chronic diseases.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Harrington practices most of what she preaches and enjoys running, biking, swimming, skiing, and hiking with her dogs. She is an avid cook and an even better baker. She states unapologetically that while her passion for balanced nutrition leads her to enjoy tofu and chickpeas, she will never give up her home baked M&M cookies.

Dr Harrington is passionate about helping her patients not only live long lives but also to live longer lives healthier. She looks forward to collaborating with each of her patients in a  Concierge setting, on an individual level, to develop a personalized long-term plan to address their current and future health care needs.
